I always (well almost always) fight fire with fire!
How can a child with allergies live in the woods but not be near animals?
If they worry about smell, they better not leave their trash on the curb.
If they have an issue with the noise, they better get rid of their dogs, cats, televisions, etc. because a chicken is no louder then any of those things!
See where I'm going with this?
If they can't be fair to you because you have some interesting pets, then they better treat others in the same manner or they could be bordering on bigotry or prejudice.
But hey, I'm no lawyer....
