Got Some Chickies!!!!

OMG, I'm getting such a kick out of these babies! They're hilarious!

So the past couple of nights I've been coming home to find mysterious chicken poops around DD's bathroom. 3 on the floor, one in the dish of food I leave out (in case of a tub escape, I leave water out too). But no chicken wandering around - all accounted for in the tub.

LOL, one of them is escaping during the day, but puts herself back before I get home so that I don't catch her in the act!

I know it's "Lola", one of our white leghorns. She's cheeky. When I come in to see them, she'll run to the front of the tub, tilt her head to the side and make deep and soulful eye contact with me. I often catch her staring - she's extremely curious and intelligent. She used to dislike being held, but she's calmed down a lot. She's the one I caught outside of the tub once, and last night I found a chicken poop on top of the waterer, lol, so that's how she's escaping.

Just wanted to share that funny story.

The coop will be finished this weekend, so I plan to move them out to the coop, along with the heat light, etc. and they can have all the adventures they want out there from now on!

Very cute story. I love how well you know all your chicks already. So cute. They really do have their own personalities. I have one barred rock that practically begs me to pick her up when i open the brooder. she stole my heart right away.
i love the story of your daughters ultrasound. hehe - she's beautiful. my son is 6 and has fallen in love with all the chicks. so fun to have around. enjoy!!
