got some eggs now none!? (from a certain hen)

I have an Americana she started laying a few weeks ago one egg a day steady for like two weeks the sn............... nothing! Why? This is her first year laying I don't know why all of a sudden she dont.

Short day light may be the main reason. Hens need at least fourteen hours of day light otherwise they'll lay very few or won't lay at all. Try to add an light bulb on a timer during the winter, say from 4:00 AM to 7:00 AM see what happen. I had the same problem with my new BCM and three weeks after I put on the light they started to lay again.

II have a light bulb in there for them and I have 4to other Rhode island reds that are still laying (they both started the same week) just she has quit? Could it still be short days I do live in Idaho and its dark by 5:30 pm and don't get light till around 7ish
