Got some pigeons today

My uncle has several different species and breeds of birds and every time I go over I end up with more pets lol.

Today it was 5 pheasants and 6 pigeons.

I will take pictures tomorrow to identify them but I think 2 are saxon monks and 2 of them make their necks big by their beaks, and two are kinda plain looking black and white and brown and white, if I had to guess I would say Old German Owl Pigeons?


How big of an enclosure do I need for 6 pigeons?

I have 12 homing pigeons, my loft is 6X10 . You need 5 Wide X 6Long X 6.5 Height at the door in the buck 6 food

I ended up building it a bit thinner than I planned, it ended up being 8ft long, 4 feet wide, and 6 1/2 feet tall with a flat roof. I have not got it finished yet, do have a question for you guys and gals.

Do they need an enclosed end of it or just covered on top and three sides? I didnt know if they needed an actual box in there because the ones I have seen have only had three covered sides on one end. I live in Northwest Missouri

I am adding a 10x10x6 net enclosure on the back for them to fly and get exercise during the day
