Got Spitzhauben eggs from ebay but they dont have crests (pic)

And sure I will post some pics in a few months they are very friendly anyway two are roos looks like I will just let them hang out with all the other chickens. Its kinda sad thso cause what I haven't said was I wanted to breed these with other spitz's from other sources and there goes like six weeks I wasted paid for eggs from another breeder who never sent them and I ha to get a refund all the time letting my inubators do nothing I feel like ahab searching for my elusive whale.

Ok I would like to see those pics too. I am who you got them from and honestly have no clue how they could have gotten mixed. I sent a response to you there too. But note I will make this right however you need me too. I hatched eggs the same time span you got these and I didnt have any mix so some where in there someone evidently snuck in. My spitzs are definatley pure and I do try to my best to keep all my breeds pure. I think this is the only time I have ever had an egg hatch mixed in all my breeds. Guess you were the lucky one and I do apoligize for that. The only thing that couldve snuck in would have been a Rhode Island White. Theres no possibilty of the delaware getting in there at all. Just let me know mwhat you would like to do ok.

Thanks
Mike

I would always recommend trying to work it out with the seller first, but if the seller won't respond to you, I would recommend following up online. You can amend your feedback on Ebay (other buyers deserve to know!) And if you paid with Paypal, you can open a case within 90 days. In general Paypal errs on the side of the consumer, so you might get a refund, even if the seller is uncooperative. It won't get your 6 weeks back though. That part sucks.

That makes sense about the RIW, looking at the chicks. It is commendable of you to come on and say you will make things right. And if you follow through with it, I would still consider you a reputable breeder/seller.

What are the chances of you and Kavellion working something out where you send him pure Spitz chicks? So his efforts and the lost six weeks won't be in vain?

Okay, this is now officially Kavellion and lamike's business to work this out, so I am going to butt out. I do hope Kavellion will post an update with a happy ending for all.

I definately will follow through as always so no issues there garanteed. I know too many people here lol. I have a great reputation with Byc/Fb and ebay .

And anyone can comment it just happens sometimes I guess this is the first time for me though.

Well its good he got on here and posted I had started this thread simply asking if the chicks looked like spitzhaubens as I never had the breed before. I messaged mike and said I don't need a refund it wasn't that much anyway I really don't need eggs which turn into chickens and I have 12 bcm in the bator which will bring my total to 30. Really just curious what they are what the mix is as I will have them for years and well wanna know I mean I am sure they have a value as chickens that lay and are pets etc. So I would say case closed and ty for everyone on the forum for helping in identifying the chicks as something other than a spitz so I could contact the seller with this info. Thanks, Alan

Did you ever get this resolved? I'd really like to know the seller's name. You can PM if you don't want to say publicly, though I think it would be a huge help to those of us looking for eggs. I just today won an eBay auction for Sptiz eggs and now I'm really wondering!

ETA: If you bought them on eBay, I'm guessing you paid with PayPal? You can dispute a payment via PayPal and say that the seller did not deliver the item as promised.

Ahhh...*facepalm*...looks like you have the seller posting here right above you? If so, I'll breath a sigh of relief that my eggs will be (I hope) the real deal as it were.

Just to note I made a full refund for these even though kevellion stated it wasnt necessary. This is the only time out of the 20 something breeds I have that this has happenend and hope it never does again. I do take great care to keep these things from happening. Guess I missed something once

I'm sure you're a wonderful breeder. I am just a wee bit nervous about the Spitz eggs I bought on eBay yesterday and then I saw the title of this thread and I though, "OH NO!". You're not the person I bought from though and it's clear that you "made it right". My seller has beautiful pics of Sptiz in the listings and when I asked if they were the actual parent stock they said "yes". Lol, there's just something about a seller giving you one word replies. They're saying the right word but it doesn't do much to instill confidence if you know what I mean. I had asked other questions and all replies were equally pithy. So, good that they replied and I do hope that my birds hatch out to look a whole lot like the pics of the parent stock. If they don't - I'll come back here to find you & get eggs from you lol!
