Got to the coop late...

Got to the coop later than usual to shut the door and found this little guy.
Got him out but wondering if 1/2” hardware cloth can keep out an adult possum.

As long as you've got it fastened down good, you should be alright.

They sure are cute when tiny. And then they grow up and become angry hissing balls of teeth.

He was cute but did snarl at me when I grabbed him and placed him outside the coop

Snarling is their defense mechanism besides playing possum.
I walked out to the barn one day and my daughter was holding a baby skunk...
Thankfully no mother was around (that we could see) and it didn't spray her.
