Gotta love a calico!

My sons Calico cat is 19 years old. her name is patches. She was born on his bed when he was three years old and he has been attached to her ever since. he is in Iraq and we are hoping she will be alive when he returns. Shes alittle senile now but otherwise in very good health Some days she drives you crazy as she meows all day but we love her.

Calicos are female the majority of the time but, not always. Toms are usually worth quite a bit.

She looks like my Gradma's cat Rosie. I think Rosie and Daisy would be cute, flower names for kitties with a bouquet of colors.

How sweet, glad you got her. We had a tortie calico mix and her name was Pippin, she lived a great spoiled rotten life til she was 19. Good luck with your new cat.

Boy, she is a doll! You have a Daisy--how about Rose, Lily, Magnolia, Violet (another flower name)??

She might need her OWN litter box! We had a tabby that was 13yrs when we got another cat and she started using the floor, rugs --ANYWHERE but the litter box.. Our vet suggested we get two littler boxes and cleaning them out daily/nightly and it worked like a charm! She died at 19yrs old and never had another problem. Enjoy your babies .Dixie

My best friend had one like that and called her Patches. She went into heat and turned into Psycho Cat. While the name might be fitting, I now associate it with cats that are bipolar.

I have one myself that was a roadside save that my son named Cootie (a 17 yr. old's baby talk version of Cutie) that is also known as Hoover Cat. She's been fixed, but I think her stomach meter is broke. Any time she sneaks in, she's at my indoor cat's bowl sucking down the food. She'll literally clean the bowl and then eat anything that has fallen on the floor around it. I can always tell when she's been inside.

I also call her Cow Cat.

Sorry to hear that but I'm glad to hear that so many of you have had cats live for 19yrs! That's a long time!

Thanks for the tip about the litterbox. I wish that was her problem but actually she is the only inside cat, so the litterbox is solely hers. Daisy only comes in the house for 20 mins or so one or twice a day, more so when the weather is really yucky. She gets her *inside the house* fix & then she's ready to go back out. She has never used a litterbox & I didn't even have one until I got this new cat. I just happened to snap Daisy's pic one day while she was inside.

The thing with the new kitty is she'll use the box to poop in but she wants to pee on the rugs & carpet. Can someone explain that to me or better yet, tell me how to remedy the problem?.
