I would like to eventually have a 1502 sportsman, but im curious as to the pros and cons of purchasing multiple HB 1588s instead (I suppose the pricing ratio would be around 1 1502 vs 4 1588s). Strictly for chicken incubation.

Im not overly concerned about the number of total eggs that each could hold.

Your ideas and opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

No comparison between the two other than both will hatch eggs. If you are going to hatch eggs often and for sure a 100 or 200, being you are saying multiple 1588's, get the 1502. I have bought several good used GQF/Dickies in the $300 range. I never hatch in my cabinet incubators---I move the eggs to the hatcher. You can use a 1588 as a hatcher if you do not do big numbers. Get a cabinet---you will Love it.
