Well, today was graduation day! I put the finishing touches on the coop and then moved all 33 birds from the brooder to the coop.

Lesson learned....place brooder closer to where the coop is so that you don't have to walk back and forth the 100' from brooder to coop for 33 chickens.

First new resident....

Most were content to ride in my hands, but this one thinks she is a parrot.

Everyone is moved in.

And of course, don't forget the Chicken Cam

Congratulations!
Looks good, hope you have a happy time with flock

That looks great! What are you using for your chicken cam and how did you set it up? I need one of those, haha!

Thanks all,

The coop is a re-purposed horse stall. It's 12x10 so plenty of room for them to play. My only concern is that since there is no floor and they are directly on the ground, I have spent a lot of time making it predator resistant (hopefully!). There is a 3' "skirt" of wire mesh all around with piles of concrete rubble at the corners where it's particularly difficult to seal up.

The camera is a TrivIsion IP camera.

I repurposed my horse stalls as well. Love the way it works out. My stalls are 12X12 with outside run as well. Good luck with all so cute babies.
