Anybody have any great ideas for a graduation open house. It is going to be mostly teenagers but some adults as well. Outside hopefully. I do not entertain often so I am at a loss as to what to serve. Please advise,. This is my oldest child - so first time for me!!!

Most people in my area do a huge batch of sloppy joes or shredded beef with barbecue sauce as the main dish, this is usually served right out of a Nesco. The sides are usually potato salad, macaroni salad, chips, and a veggie tray. Sometimes they'll shake it up a little with an Oriental coleslaw. And of course, a big graduation cake as dessert.

I would bbq dogs and hamburgers with sides...chips, potatoe sald, pop, cake etc. makes it easy to feed a lot of people but you have to find a grill operator.

My brothers graduation party is next Saturday!!

I think we are getting those LONG subs from Subway...

We also talked about getting Wing-Zone Buffalo Wings, but they are too messy...

I have 4 kids all have graduated high school 1 from college a few years ago and I have 2 more that will be finishing college within the next year of so. We have done this quite a lot and it always seems to work very well.

We always did spiral sliced ham....separate the slices and lay them out on a platter.

Another platter of sliced tomatoes, lettuce leaves, sliced onions, olives, sliced peppers, pickles and the like.

Another platter with several types of sliced breads.

Another platter some fresh and some canned fruits.

Several types of dips and chips.

Several types of soft drinks with a chest of ice and some party cups.

A couple of sheet cakes and plates and napkins.
