So last night I went up and let my chickens & ducks out of their run to enjoy the wide open spaces. I always stay right with them because of the posts I read here. I worry a predator might get them or they might stumble into trouble. Anyway I notice my dogs are standing upright by the fence row eating. I walk over and see that they are chowing on grapes. So I grabbed a bunch and took them over to the flock. Boy did they enjoy them. They ate quite a few before I decided they were gonna make themselves sick. I tasted one they are quite tart.

I sure don't. I just moved here in October. I am lucky in that the vines were already mature. Also lots of mature apple, pear, walnut and persimmon trees. Chicks love the apples that fall into their run. As to wine or jelly. I have never been little Miss Suzy homemaker. I still would love to give it a go and will if I get brave enough.
