Graphic photo who’s the predator?

I’d say cat or raccoon. Any Caine would typically devour the whole thing, there’d only be feathers left. Usually the same result with hawks Or owls.

Not judging u for saying opossums are cute; in fact i had a baby possum as a pet when i was a kid. Very docile and never bit. But now i say "good dog" every time my dogs kill one. Because opossums definitely kill chickens. Its fairly easy to keep possums from making entry tho; main thing is to have a covered roof, a door they cant get through, and roosts NOT next to walls with gaps where possums can reach chickens with paws or snout. (Have seen gruesome pics on this forum of possums eating wings, legs, etc off live chickens while on their roost. 😢) Many other predators are much harder to protect against than opposums. A game camera WILL help u quickly identify your current chicken killer, bcause it Will be back. I have delayed ordering game cameras myself, bcause i have great dogs that guard the chickens. Even still, my chickens are securely locked up every night.
