View attachment 2671055this is the second time this has happened in three days. She's bare from my first cleaning up attempt. I read about vent gleet and applied a cream, etc.

Could this be an internal injury? Impacted egg? There's no bloody stool, has full energy, eating, drinking normal.

How far did you go to "clean" her up? It would help to soak her in a basin of warm water with soap or Betadine to clean off all of the loose blood and tissue. Don't scrub. Just soak and gently pull away any loose stuff.

This will help us to see the extent of any injuries. It doesn't appear to be coming out of the vent, but from a spot below the vent, pointing to a pecking injury.

Once you get all the blood cleaned up, post another photo. Please.
