GRAPHIC PICTURE- Lethargic, droopy wings, not moving, eating and drinking...

We've searched tons of Internet boards and haven't found anything like this... She's got all the symptoms of being egg bound but she eats and drinks... Twice now we've lubed up her vent and stuff comes out. Not sure how old she is or what breed (adopted).

Does she look like her abdomen is swollen or have fluid in it? Try looking up internal layers.

Is there an odor coming form her? I just found a pullet with similar symptoms. I started her on antibiotics but I have never seen anything like this. Mine smells horrible infact, that was what made me seek her out in the pullet pen.

I have had eggbound hens if you can not feel the egg from palpatating her she is not likely eggbound.

She doesn't smell bad, just when the poop comes out.

Yes. She pooped overnight.

Mine seems to have an infection around her vent not internally. Which I am relieved about (?) After cleaning it I remembered that she did have a small sore below her vent when I bathed her pre-show last month. I do not know the cause of that since she has not had mites or lice. Maybe a splinter form the roost?

I have cleaned it and I am treating with L&S Duramycin combo.
