Grass clippings in the run??

That’s super helpful! My husband rolls his eyes at me all the time. I never had chickens before so I don’t want to kill them my first go round! Thank you!

Thought you might like to see some

10 day old chicks with their grass in the brooder. This is dried lawn clippings and some dirt from the yard. They are 3 weeks old today, all very healthy, 0 losses after they got here, one died in shipping so they were a little stressed when they arrived.

I give mine grass clippings, too, but our mower has mulch mode and the grass is chopped up short. I dump all of it in the chicken run. They love it! Haven’t had any issues yet.
