grass seed question

I was given a 50lb bag of grass seed. Can I mix that in with my scratch feed?

make sure the seed is not treated. Some grass seed has all kinds of treatments added. Otherwise I'd say yes but in moderation, I don't know the protein level of grass seed and protein is important for laying.

My hens eat grass seed that I pick for them sometimes, but kizanne is correct in that treated seed would be toxic.
