Grass seed

My husband just put out a couple bags of grass seed with fertilizer around our house.... do I need to keep my guineas locked up now? If so How long do you think? I have one adult and I’ve been letting a group of 6 keets out to free range.

A lot of grass seeds are treated and not so healthy to eat. Can you cover the grass seed with straw or lightly rake it in so it’s not so obvious and tasty looking?

It’s covered lightly with straw but I just wanted to be safe. I didn’t let them out any yesterday and was going to maybe keep them up for a few more days?
