grass

my girls love to eat grass so i pick it and give it to them i want to know if it is good or bad for them or is it just like a little treat

yeah i cant move my coop but im going to build a tractor coop this summer and i cant free range either live in the mountains about 100 miles away from boise idaho foxes wolves coyotes hawks egales dogs cats cougers everywhere so i perfer them to saty in thier coop and run

so i will not be able to move my coop to fresh grass. is then okay to throw a piece of sod in there on occasion. i would assume the sod is not treated. or am i wrong to assume that?

If you cut your grass (and it's not treated with chemicals) you can pile the clippings in the run. They love to eat and scratch through that.
