whenever we mow the lawn we feed the grass clippings to our chickens. they seem to love them, but is it ok to feed them the cut grass?

My girls and one roo LOVE grass. I actually have my husband keep one small section in the back corner of our yard uncut so I can pull them grass every day. The days that my husband actually cuts grass is a buffet for them. I give them a pile of it. What they do not eat becomes part of the floor to scratch at. There is a section on the main page of this website under the learning center that gives you a list of what they can and can not eat. Mine also love watermelon, any greens such as cabbage, grapes, carrotts, and a host of things. You will be suprised at what they will and can eat! Good luck!
