gray Silkie genotype?

what is the genotype for gray Silkies or gray in general? i've been reading a lot on color genetics, but nothing sounds right...

i ask because the pair of Silkies i have were supposed to both be gray, but they aren't. i think the male is gray (or maybe even splash) and the female is maybe partridge. they're from Ideal, so i know they aren't exceptional examples of type, but i just hatched some chicks and am now wondering what i should expect.

The top pic looks like a hatchery/pet quality Cuckoo or Splash and the bottom pic is a Partridge hatchery/pet quality.

I am bad with the color thing, so I have no idea what you have to expect as far as babies. I'd love to see pics of them, though!

the second bird is a partidge the first is either cuckoo or gray. this hen is gray

The first is grey, Not cuckoo. cuckoo has a more even color, and clearer barring

he's definitely not cuckoo, as his spotting is completely random. splash is a good possibility, though.

any ideas on gray genotype?

we are working on the red comb on cuckoo. my roo above has a mottled comb. I'm pretty sure your roo is gray.

The only difference genetically between grey and splash is the silver gene. Greys are silver: S/S or S/- Partridge are gold: s+/s+ or s+/-

Both are an e^b based bird with Pg; ideally two copies of each (almost certain for e^b, but not for Pg).

Is the silver partridge based grey the APA Standard ? Or is the Standard the "Chinchilla Grey" ?
