I bought some Silkie eggs from a breeder. These are the chicks that hatched out. The breeder said they were from their gray pen. Are these actually gray?

I would have assumed that "Gray" means the variety that is actually called "Gray" by the American Poultry Association. If they told you the birds were "gray" they maybe inexperienced breeders. Most breeders call the colors by their official names: blue or lavender are common "gray" color.
That probably would help.Okay, would it help to have pictures of their breeders? I have some that I can share.
Ugh, I'm bad at this. Here they are!
