Great day at the show!

We went to the Western WA. Youth Fair today and Loren did GREAT!! First of all our black rose comb hens got 1st and best of breed. and his white call duck hen got best bantam, best waterfowl and reserve champion of show!!! A bantam cochin got best in show.
Loren got reserve champion over all in showmanship out of a class of 7 and the champion was a 13 y/o girl. Loren was praised by his knowledge of poultry and so was his momma(

) for teaching him so well. There was only 7 kids so the class was grouped together, but kind of divided by ages. There were 3 in Loren's age group, but he was the youngest out of 3 and the youngest over all.
I am so proud of him!!!!!

We don't have the rest of our ribbons yet, but I can't wait to get them tomorrow!!

you're raising your kids the right way! it's great to see a kid interested in chickens. when i was about his age i was CRAZY about my chickens! you should have seen my buetiful cross flock! they were offspring from a silver phoenix roo over a egyptian fayoumi pullets.

he deserves all the ribbons he got! he's got some beautiful birds

tell him to keep it up! you must be so proud
