Great Depression of 2016

Now I read this morning that Halliburton will lay off a thousand employees. BP will spend a billion to restructure and lay off people. Enbridge is also laying off about a hundred people.

Worse, Enterprise is canceling the pipeline that would have brought oil from the Bakken in North Dakota down to Cushing, Oklahoma.

Perhaps this is all a little too early to make these kinds of decisions. The middle east is a very unsettled area now, and things could change in twinkling of an eye or the flash of a nuclear weapon.

So then you would make business decisions not on what is happening, but on what could happen ?
