Great Depression of 2016

Do I dare post here? Wow, that was some exchange.

The trees in question were hanging over the back wall into the alley. A permit is required if there is a need for a lift or boom truck. We finally got them trimmed. My wife called a licensed tree trimmer. And guess what, the same Indians showed up to do the job. They remembered us.

They did the job without a lift or boom truck.

So, would we have saved some money by going straight to the immigrants? Probably.

Now, about immigration: we are in a situation that needs to be resolved. We cannot possibly deport twelve million people. This is an issue that needs to be resolved; it is not an issue to be exploited for political purposes.

To follow the letter of the law gets law enforcement in big trouble. The local sheriff catches illegals, and ICE lets them go. Currently, the sheriff is in big trouble because his people are accused of asking people if they are in the country legally. This was determined to be "racial profiling."

I don't mind showing my documents. Truth be told, just about everyone here looks Mexican.
That is because their families were Mexican at one time. I think it is mostly those without papers that are causing the problem.

We have local government enforcing the law, and the Federal government letting people go just for political purposes. There has to be a solution to the problem.

There is a solution. And it would take about 3% of the country to make it happen, as I've heard it explained to me.

Unfortunately, I doubt 3% of the population can look away from their TVs long enough to affect change in this nation. Meanwhile, I'll be a one-woman crusade against the insanity promoted by The Powers That Be.

Did y'all hear they are planning to teach transgenderism to ELEMENTARY students WITHOUT notifying the parents? http://www.hannity.com/articles/news-476261/maine-schools-1st-grade-curriculum-reading-13499580/ (<~~ That's just one article. If you Google, there are many.)

What has HAPPENED here?

Well don't that beat all. It is important for parents to instill into their children a sense of what is right and what is wrong. They better, because it seems as if the schools don't really know or care.

Also, it is important to make sure your child can read before they go to public school, because, again the schools don't care. Nor do they want to teach cursive writing anymore. What do they want to teach?

Well, it seems that they want to teach "diversity." Which really means that they teach kids that other people of other races owe them something. They want to instill a sense of "oppression" by other races. How could Michael Brown think it was correct behavior to strong arm a grocery clerk and take some cigars?

Parents just have to tell their kids that some of the things taught at school are just a lot of BS.

Or as my parents did, find alternative learning sources. They didn't leave it to anyone else to define my beliefs for me, and for that I'm extremely grateful.

Hopefully that article was written with tongue in cheek. It is natural for people to stop spending on unneeded items when they are unsure of the future.

The fed now has as close to zero interest on funds to its best borrowers. Still, the economy is not taking off. Real estate is moving, but it seems as if it is mostly foreign investors and wealthy investors putting dollars into real assets rather than dollar denominated instruments. They want out of the dollar before it collapses.

The low interest rate makes it easy for foreigners to borrow US dollars and then turn them into hard assets that will weather the coming inflation. The US's monetary policy is financing a raid on US assets.

On October 20th, the IMF will meet and propose changed rules for currency operations. I am afraid the dollar will suffer. If it is no longer used as the principle reserve currency, those dollars will gravitate back to the US. The IMF may expand the special drawing rights and enable currency swaps that avoid the dollar. That won't be good for us.

I read that the amount of dollars held abroad is between twice and four times that in use in the USA. It is easy for the powers that be to expand the money supply, but just how do they contract it? Hang on, we are in for some interesting times.

I am sure others will disagree with my thinking, but that is what makes the world go around.
