Great Depression of 2016

There seems to be a certain hostility toward business in this country. People are anxious to believe the lies expounded by leftist. The left is always telling folks that someone else is better off than they are. Jealousy, greed and envy are exploited to divide the classes. Notice that some politicians will never use the term "working class." It is almost as if they are ashamed of working people.

I don't know how things will end, but I am pretty sure it will not be pretty.

The Fed is about $100 years old, and our dollar is about 220 years old. So we have had a "Federal Reserve" for almost half of our money's history. I don't think it is going away.

It's OK to lie.

hemet dennis, did you listen to the Jekyll Island link I added earlier? And it was actually 12.5 triliion dollars pledged to bank bailouts,it was right at the top of the page which you refuse to read.,, so far only 2.5 trillion has been used. I realize because some companies farm out labor, ect,,the fact still remains if they make products for a profit,,they, just as people should pay a tax on that "extra" money. I know it's all shareholder driven,to post huge profits per quarter, ect,,but when you make a product that only costs you maybe $10,,then sell it for $350,,your still up $340,,use cheap overseas labor, while using technology that all started within the USA. So much has came about from our space program alone,,
There used to be what was called "Investment Credit" in farming. You buy a $50,000 tractor, and was given "credit" against taxes owed for several years. It was because your purchase provided jobs, reasearch, and technology advances.By you "investing" your money in this tractor, instead of watching it get fat in a savings account, you were rewarded, thus equalizing monies gained if you left money sit. This Investment Credit was taken away in the '80's and almost devestated the farming industry, mainly companies like John Deere,,ect.Because this tax law changed, many companies went out of business, such as Oliver,Allis Chalmers,White,Stieger,Case,,and there are many more. It was a fair way to get people to buy new machines, instead of using machines that was outdated, unsafe, and less effecient. The machinery companies gauged if what they were making was acceptable by the sales of the machinery. Granted, not every company would have made it and be in existance today even with the investment credit, had it been left in effect. But because of this one change, instead of many good, respectable farm machinery companies still doing business today,,and providing thousands of jobs,we are now down to just a handfull of major ag machinery companies. This reminds me of now basically only 2-3 phone companies, mainly AT&T,Verizon, and Sprint. This country has made many huge, stupid mistakes in trade agreements, technology sharing, and research. And no hemet,I'm not going to search out links to post that you won't read,to prove my points.
This country has seen it's better days.Let me premature age while I work 60 plus hours each week, while 40% of the population hasn't had a water blister on their hands ever, and can't wait for their govt handout checks each month, that I help make possible. I'm so glad too, that the elected officials vote their pay rasies and recieves retirement pensions in excess of $300k yr while I hope I can get by on social security, and my union pension,(unless the govt steals that from me too before I'm too old to give a cr-p!) When the day of reckoning comes, maybe,,,just maybe everyone will be equal again.

I didn't refuse to read it, I refused to pay to read it. I have watched a few of the you-tube videos about the FED, there was one that was about 2 hours long. Maybe you could post the story here and we can all read it. I love how you assume I wouldn't read something, why would I have even clicked the link if I was going to refuse to read it ?

They changed the investment credit to a Depreciation tax credit that the farmer can elect to take in the first year of buying the equipment instead of over several years.

Anyone here watch on C-SPAN-2 tonight and guest speaker-author Thom Hartmann while he discussed "The Crash of 2016?" Seems he thinks O'Bama will continue his ways at least until the next election, but cautioned late 2015 may be the start of the end.His outlook isn't very promising either for what he says is much sooner than we think.Hemet, once again the figues I quoted is right on the link page, right across the top of the page. 12.5 trillion is written,2.5 triillion more than the guy on WLS -Chicago radio said last week,no subscription needed to read the link,
