Great Highway 50 sales?? Who is going??

I AM!!! Woohoo! I started today...I found a beautifull chair for my living room. AND..I only paid $15.00 for it! I will get a pic and post in in a few....oh, the doily...I paid 25 cents for...at another sale. I am going again Sunday..I cant waite!!

We will stop at some since we have to travel hwy 50 to get anywhere. Gas is too expensive for us to go much out of our way, though.

hoosier...I know about the gas issue. We live right off highway 50...so we too have to travel it to get anywhere. Lucky for me, tomorrow, I will have to go to Seymour. Thats about 35 miles of highway 50 sales!! WOOHOO!!

Did you find anything good at the sales on Saturday? We stopped at several and bought absolutely nothing! I was in Seymour Saturday (hadn't read your post and didn't know you would be in the area!) at the lawn and garden show. I bought several plants from charity groups.

I did find another chair....similar to the one I bought Friday. Ohhh, then I was at one sale...and this woman had 3 quilts hanging up. She originally had them marked $20.00 each. I was looking at them, they are about full size I would say. So, she walks up and says " I will take 15.00 each for them, and I have 4, the other one is over here" So, I looked some more...then thought I better not. So I thanked her, and started walking off. Well...she runs up....grabs my arm, and says " I will take $15.00 for ALL 4" Oh yeah...they are MINE!! I dont think anyone can have too many quilts. I brought them home, washed them, and hung them on the line outside. I just love seeing quilts flapping on a clothsline.

I was able to walk PAST the little gosling...the baby ducks...and the chicks. Boy, was that hard...I had my grandson with me and he kept saying.." Come on grandma, just buy them, they are soo cute, grandpa wont notice a few more" He is SUCH an enabler!!

I'm not familiar with that side of Indiana but Hwy. 50 sounds familiar as does Seymour. Had to pull out my Indiana map...I travely on Hwy. 50 when I visit my sister. She lives near Logotee. You live in a pretty part of the state. I love going to Brown County but its too far away to go often. I'm closer to Sullivan.

debakadeb - You say you are near Sullivan. I would be worried about you being in a certain institution in Carlisle, but since you are female, it isn't an issue!
