My coop does not have the nesting boxes on the outside so I have to climb into the small coop and try to reach back in the nexting boxes to get the eggs. My parents use use theirs for picking up items and I decided to try it to get the eggs. This worked so well because the ends fit perfectly around the eggs and I haven't dropped an egg yet---knock on wood, LOL. This makes it so much easier for me than having to climb into the coop. I bought mine at Lowes for $15 but they are quite common so shouldn't be a problem finding one.
