Hey. so i had this great idea for a nesting box. go to the nearest goodwill, thrift store, or go to your attic, and get a smallish wooden nightstand that has rollers and tracks on the bottoms of the drawers. now. take a drawer out, and unscrew the tracks from the inside of the stand. screw the tracks into the wall of your coop [hopefully wood] and slide the drawer in with the hole facing outwards. i can explain this better if you dont understand, but this is easy to do spring cleaning with, and great if you have rodent problems in your coop.

I pick up pet carriers (like the "Pet Taxi) and take the wire door off them. The chickens seem to like those better that anything else we've used. You can get them for $5 or less at Goodwill, flea markets or yard sales. We even have one larger one that 2 or 3 of our girls get in at the same time.
