Great Pyrenees- Livestock Guardian

Getting a male Great Pyrenees on Tuesday (9 week old pup). I need him to help guard my (ever growing) flock of chickens. I know he is currently with both his parents on a ranch with cattle, sheep, and chickens.


Any tips or suggestions on training? Ways to make him a great LGD? Do not plan on bringing him inside house, but I do have small children so I need to be assured he is good with them too.


I'll post pics when I have him!
