Great Stuff- predator proof?

When we made our secondary coop, we used a pallet for the base. We filled in most of the spaces with pallet wood, but there were some holes that my husband just decided that great stuff would "work best for". Any food for thought for us? Don't want to lose these cute chicks. And have a couple weeks before they are fully feathered out to make adjustments. Thanks in advance.

Spray foam? No, it will not keep anything out that is determined to get in.

Not to mention the chicks will eat it if they can get to it.
