DaddyMcChicken
In the Brooder
My dad built an incubator months ago using ideas he gathered from this wonderful forum. He told me that his incubator is probably the ugliest incubator that i'll ever see but its built well and is equipped with everything a good incubator should have. Well Pops was right. I started small with only a dozen New Hamshire eggs that a friend of mine gave to me. Out of the dozen eggs, one egg never did develop (infertile) and I lost only 1 chick that I believe suffocated. It had pipped but another chick had rolled it over, blocking its breathing hole. So, I have a total of 10 healthy New Hampshire chicks. The entire experience was incredible and believe it or not, my wife and I enjoyed it more then our 3 sons did. Now I just need to find homes for these lil guys and gals because I cant add 10 more birds to my flock even though I would love to keep them.
