"What is it?" Lexi asked.

"I smell monster." he said, his voice coming out twisted and rough. He placed himself between her and the forest.

More nightmares plagued Faith's dreams, but she resisted to wake up. Unfortunately, she did, a sweating wreck. I'm not taking another walk. She promised herself, picking up a book and starting to read. But her mind didn't stay on the book-- she was a demigod, what did people expect?!-- her mind flitted to Sam and Lexi in the forest, a couple hours earlier in Sam's cabin with Maya and the Aphrodite girls....

Suddenly a chimera stepped out of the forest. With a deafening roar, Sam lept at it, turning into the terrifying, nightmarish back wolf the size of a draft horse. He ran at it, snarling, and gutting it with one massive paw, creating enough noise to wake the titans.

Faith heard a faint roar, and screaming in the woods. Just let it go. She told herself. It's just the monsters in the woods. And she continued to 'read' her book.

Sam ripped its throat out, and flung the corpse, sending it crashing down near faith's cabin. He leaned his head back and howled, a resonant, bone chilling sound.

A huge thing whirled at Faith's cabin and hit it with a huge BANG. "AAAAHHHH!!!" Screamed Faith, throwing on her clothes, and crawling out a window to see what was going on. She spotted Sam (in wolf form) and screamed even more. Then she noticed Lexi, and realized the huge wolf was Sam.

Sam's glowing yellow eyes locked onto hers, his howl ending. He dug his claws into the dirt, and walked toward Lexi.
