"If I met a goddess," Acacia mused, "I would ask her what she wanted, because I've never heard of a god or goddess who didn't have their own agenda and cared about what we puny mortals said."

As Piper and Finn left the dinner tables, all of them trickled back to their cabins. Piper woke up next morning, shaking with excitement! Piper had almost all her things packed, and after breakfast-- off they went on the quest!

Her pocket knife, a bag of ambrosia, a canteen of nectar, her book of mythology, a change of clothes, a toothbrush, a few tubes of toothpaste (can't be too careful), deodorant, hair clips and a baggie of drachmas were in her backpack, her two knives were sheathed in her sleeves. Acacia was ready.

Finn scanned her room making sure she wasn't leaving anything behind. Dagger- check. Change of clothes- check. Hairbrush, hair bands, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant- check. Ambrosia, nectar, drachmas- check. Food- will collect that from the Mess Hall. Finn was ready to go.

As Piper was flitting from place to place in her room picking up little things here and there she got some butterflies in her stomach. What if we can't come back? What if someone gets badly injured? What is we meet Gaea herself? Piper was thinking these things as she was checking her backpack, and getting things from parts of her room.

Acacia grabbed leftover necessities (such as her hairbrush and some dental floss, etc, etc.) and took some canned foods + a can opener and plenty of water. She wasn't worried. Worries were always pushed to the back of her mind, where she didn't bother with them, they might get in the way of what had to be done.

Piper found Finn and walked to the Mess Hall together. "Nervous?" asked Piper. "A bit." said Finn, "But, I'm more excited." "Yea," said Piper far off, "I'm really excited, and I think we have a good group!" "Definitely." replied Finn.

"Take this opportunity to have a good meal," Acacia said to the others, "we won't have another for a while."

Catie put on water proof midcalf brown leather boots, dark skinny jeans and a dark gray t shirt and brown leather jacket, with her katanas on her back and her messenger bag (it's magical) on her shoulder, and set off toward the mess hall. As sheneared it, she fell in step with piper, Finn, and acacia. "anyone nervous?" she said, glad to have friends and exited for some adventure.

"Only a bit," replied Piper. "We should take some food from the Mess Hall for the trip." said Finn, "Like what Acacia said-- it'll be awhile til we have another good meal."
