Green bean plants?

I gave mine the plants today, they devoured them!!!!!

I put fencing around my pole beans and the chickens will jump up to snatch the leaves. If this plant were poisonous I don’t believe they would seek it out. Besides tomato fruit, this is my flocks favorite treat. IMO the article is referring to beans in the nightshade family.
