Green/Blue Egg gene question

Ok these little buggers just hatched out from a rogue EE bantam mommy. She disappeared a few weeks ago and showed up today with NINE little ones. Sheesh, she's good

Anyways...the daddy is a mille fleur d'uccle, she lays a pretty teal color egg. Will the babies lay the green/blue egg or is it a toss up? Thanks!

It's a toss up. If she has 2 copies of the blue egg gene then they'll all lay blue/green. If she only has 1 copy (which a lot of EEs do) then some will lay blue/green and some will lay brown/cream. I have 2 EE/Silkie girls from my EE roo and Silkie hen...1 lays cream and the other lays green.

Yes She's a good mommy. I moved her and her babies to a brooder to keep them safe though. We have a free range flock and barn cats so don't wanna take the chance! thanks for the info on the eggs. I can't wait to see how these little ones turn out!
