The Princess just got home and thanked me for 'cleaning' the kitchen floor.

It could be worse - a lot worse.

There are two Red-eared Sliders that live in this 50 gallon aquarium in my kitchen/sunroom. I have to change the water regularly, and I usually run a thin tube in a window and connect it to a hose from outside. Takes a while, but it's less bother than dragging a hose in or bailing/filling with a bucket or pitcher. Unfortunately, I sometimes get distracted while I'm refilling, and, well . . . .

DD once walked in the back door, looked around, and said, "Hey, the floor looks really clean. Did you overfill the turtle tank again?"

'tis the season.

The Princess was just looking for our local weekly paper. Turns out she removed all the sales brochures from the center and threw the paper in the recycle bin.

And so we enter our dottage.

Me too, it's almost a right of passage. Salt water algae tastes better than fresh water algae...

Some of us do get a little smarter as we get older. I have finally learned how NOT to do that with the turtle tank.
