Green Club

If that is the song by the same title with which I am familiar, it was written by an American singer/songwriter named Mike Cross. Critter was a fan of his, and we went to one of his concerts when we were in college. He was still pretty "small potatoes" back then, and the venue was a fairly small auditorium. Can't say for sure that The Scotsman was performed at the concert, but I am fairly sure that it was (it's on an album that Critter had before then).

(I'd link to a Youtube video that I have found with Mike Cross singing it, but I'm not sure the subject matter would be BYC approved!)

That her taste in music extends beyond Jimmy Buffett? Yes

That she likes judging contests? Yes, some of them

That she has rosy cheeks? Only when she's been naughty....

That she's a fan of 'blue' ribbon winners? Maybe not a fan per se, but I definitely have an appreciation for quality.

I know you liked that, Sour, I can hear you laughing.......

Wisher, the very first time that I heard "The Scotsman" they had to scrape me up off the ground writhing in hysterical laughter.

I was a good bit less amused, having heard the joke before (though it wasn't set to music that time). But long before that, I'd had a friend with a (little) brother who'd tied on a ribbon and declared himself a Christmas present . . . .
