Green duck eggs.

Could it be a wood duck? I don't know if they lay green eggs, but the duckling at the top of this webpage looks similar to yours:

Hmmm, doesn't look like a ruddy duckling, but could be a wood duckling. It could also be a gadwall. Or, maybe someone's call duck laid an egg in that boat.

Looks like a mallard to me. They dont get the orange bill until they get older especially if it is a hen.

It looks exactly like a baby wood duck, same size and coloration, which by the way do come from small greenish eggs. It wouldn't be a wild guess to say that it IS a baby wood duck...

Congratulations on you new baby...

Depending on where you live you may need to get a permit though...not really sure...

Wood ducks nest in hollow trees and other similar things like wood duck boxes. I doubt one would lay an egg on a boat. The bill dosent look right for a wood duck IMO.
