green egg layin hens

name me some not so rare green egg laying hens, i am interested in getting some soon, but i want them to be egg producing machines, not rare, and gentle.

if you mix an americauna with a maran they have olive green eggs

ha! mine isnt gentle. she doesnt lay yet though, but i know there are a lot of people on this site who have americaunas, i am sure they could tell you

mine is the dominant hen. we put her in with 2 weekers when she was a couple days old. she got picked on and then since the other chickens were bantams she rose to power since she is so much bigger.

Some of my Easter eggers are friendly. Half are constantly wanting to sit in my lap, but the other half just aren't interested.

I have EE hens and they lay all year long even in the winter. I bought them as adults but one hen has tamed down and follows me around every where. I love EE they are my favorite. My five hens lay from a blueish green to an olive green in color.

I have Easter Eggers and Ameraucanas and they are both great breeds. They are very nice and run up to me whenever I come into the coop. The EE lays every day mostly, and she's almost 2 years old. The Ameraucanas arent laying yet.
