Green egg....

What breed of duck would lay a green egg i have a mallard hen a crested hen and a call duck hen but i know it wont be laying yet any ideas??

I know Cayugas lay green/black eggs, but don't know about the ones you have.

My hybrids are a cross between mallard and khaki campbell. When I ordered them from Metzers I was told they "could" possibly lay a greenish colored egg. Only one of the three did and that was ONE time about 5 years ago. Sooooo, it's probably the mallard (see the links).

Well my Crested is mallard colored, and she has been going into the coop a lot im in illinois my MIL called and said she found a green egg...

The only duck I havehat lays greeneggs is my buff crosses (mallard ) . Not sure what mallards lay but my buff girl used to give me some big ol honkin green eggs.

My mallards are laying now. They lay White/Cream colore eggs. I think Mallard's egg color is same to Pekins, just differnt size

My Mallards' eggs have a green tint to them. Definately not as green as the Araucanas I use to have but they are different from my Pekin/Mallard mix who still lay an off white colored egg.
