Green eggs are bad eggs! ;P

TSA let the bag with the eggs in through and pulled my purse with my insulin in a carrying case because I had a gel pack. I had gel packs with the eggs too! Go figure

I live in Oregon. Im sure the laws are different around here as EVERYONE has chickens. People sell lots of things that are not pasteurized. I don't candle them, as most are too dark for me to see through anyway. Just out of curiosity... why would I candle them first?

What? The TSA didn't think they were little hand grenades? The idiots take a woman cupcake but not eggs in a carton. How strange is that?

I've brought eggs from Oregon to PA and the people just looked at me funny and shook their heads. The eggs had to go through the xray thingie.... wonder if it did anything to them??

Colored eggs seem to be a selling point with the people who buy mine. They are so used to seeing only brown or white eggs, that the green ones are a real novelty!

Next time, take a it of food coloring and squirt it into a hole you poked in the shell. Maybe shake it a lil' bit. It might turn it green when you crack it open for her, lol. I'd do it right before you're gonna cook it in case of bacteria. :O

A few years ago I my boss and I were building a new garage for my cousin, who lives in a rural area. He has about two dozen chickens, but is vegan(go figure, he kept them to keep his zoning status so his wife could keep boarding dogs), so he gave away all the eggs. First day on the job, my boss and I each got a dozen farm fresh eggs. I was ecstatic. Took 'em home and shod the famdamily the white, brown, dark brown, green and blue eggs. My kids fought over the blue and green eggs.
The next day I spoke to my boss about the eggs, and he shyly admitted to being willing to try a brown egg for the first time, but the green and blue were just too strange for him.
I was blown away. To him, eggs just came from the store in a carton; in his mind there was no connection between a chicken and an egg. That was when I decided we needed to get chickens, I didn't want my daughters to grow up with that kind of lack of understanding.
There is a huge disconnect in our society between our food an its source, people have forgotten what food is, what it looks like in its natural state. People wont eat green eggs!
