Don't really want Ameraucanas because I don't have confidence that I would not actually get EEs. Maybe CCLs? We'll see ...

The way to make sure you get what you want is to buy from a breeder. You can visit the hatching eggs for sale section of the forum and get a decent incubator. Or some breeders can ship chicks directly, just like a hatchery but usually much better breeding. However, sexing is not available.

Oops, I did the poll but haven't yet commented on the real topic!

I'm always going to love blue eggs the best, and real Ameraucanas are awesome (looks, personality) 🥰

But you have to do what you're passionate about first and foremost. Life is boring when the choices you make don't reflect yourself.

Well, I'll give it a shot. I have one picture right now, and will need to take pics of the rest of the eggs I get in a combined shot. I put a bunch in my incubator, will try to get one of those when I get home. Egg size for the eggs I'm currently incubating range from 52-53 g up to 63 g. I think I have 3-4 that are 61-63 grams in the incubator. None of the smallest eggs made it in, so my blue chicken with rust on her neck/face doesn't have any eggs in there at all. The largest eggs are from by black phenotype hens (they look kinda like a black australorpe), and the others are from my golden partride phenotype and my silver partridge phenotype (super new at this, not sure if I'm using the terms correctly, but trying).

To me, this picture shows up on the screen a little bluer than it is in real life, but the egg colors for the green, white, and brown egg are true to life. I'll post some additional pics in a bit.
Here's a few more Prairie Bluebell egg pics I had on hand. Here the eggs look not blue, maybe faintly not-white (indoors, at night, kitchen table lighting), but they are really a pale blue under natural lighting, especially with white around for contrast. The other colors are for comparison. In poor indoor lighting, this can be typical. You might be able to see the size difference a bit. The dark brown (ISA Brown) eggs are usually extra large.

So pretty! Your ISA Brown eggs are so dark, very close to what my FBCM are giving me. I didn't know ISA's laid such dark eggs!

Really? Thank you. I've been wanting FBCM eggs because I want the really dark chocolate color. I love my ISA brown egg colors - dark red brown, very red brick with dark speckles. I got them from Rural King who got them from Hoovers Hatchery. One of them has wry tail, and they're the meanest (to each other) and largest of my hens, but man it's hard to argue with one large to extra large egg every day. When they go to the big coop in the sky, I'll be getting more ISA Browns for sure. If they weren't pets, they'd probably have a decent amount of meat also.

I've never had anybody say they thought my greenish EE eggs were not attractive. Almost invariably, the reaction is a delighted version of, "Oh wow! Now all I need is ham and I can really have green eggs and ham! I never knew green eggs were a real thing!"
My mom is always delighted when I bring a carton of rainbow eggs by. Her favorites are the green ones too.
