I found a nest of green eggs that one of my EE's had been hiding for a couple weeks! She wasn't sitting on them, just laying her eggs and leaving. She'd hidden them in the neighbor's cabbage garden.

I cracked one open by accident, and it was fertile...like a few days past the bull's eye! So I put them in the incubator right away.

It's been about 5 days, and I candled them, but I couldn't see anything at all. I couldn't even find the air cell. What do you do when the shell is so thick that you can't see a thing??

I was using an LED light! They are really thick shells, lol. I'm not sure where I would get a stronger light...hmm. I don't have any money to spend. This might end in me waiting to see if any hatch and praying nothing explodes.

When I have an egg I can't candle, I let it run. Every other day I take it out and sniff. I leave them in the bator till day 24 as long as they don't get a smell.
