Ok, so my broody hen messed up, and I want an incubator for my birthday
So taking advantage of the time I have left, I need Information on the process of incubation
Does anybody have any links or reading material with all I need to know and terms used and such?
thanks

My advice is to pick out an incubator with an electronic thermostat, fan and auto turner. And, read the directions very carefully. Your temp should run between 99.3 & 99.6 degrees.

Buy a thermometer/hygrometer, and you don't really need to worry about humidity until the last three days, called "Lockdown". Humidity is increased by "water surface", so keep that in mind and adjust your humidity to around 65%.

And whatever you do, during lockdown, don't open the incubator! That humidity is very important.

Happy Hatching!

Can anyone recommend an incubator model #

is the one with the turbo fan (2362N) better than the one with the nice window(1583) the 1588 model has the electronic thermostat
which one would you choose?
does circulated air mean it has a fan

Thanks so much for helping me with this

The best hovabator is the Gensis 1588. All I do is fill if with eggs and water and every 4 to 5 days add more water. I have had all the models you mentioned, the 1588 has had the best hatch rate.
