Hi All:
Like so many these days my family has decided to raise chickens for both meat and eggs in an effort to keep food costs down and become more self-sufficient. I've never raised chickens, or anything other than cats/dogs or that matter so it will certainly be an adventure!
This is quite a site - a big thank you in advance for all the knowledge and advice I can use to try and not recreate the wheel too many times.
If you're wondering about my username, it's from an old Saturday Night Live skit by Dana Carvey - he plays an elderly asian gentleman who says a chicken is man's best friend - only he says "a cheekn man bes fren". It's one of my all time favorite bits and I thought it appropriate!
Best regards
Rob
