In 3rd grade(im 9th grade right now) I was going to a farm as a feild trip, and the farmer told me that he notices that if he uses a green light, like an actual green light, like a light that literally shines the color green, his chickens seem to grow faster and more meat-ier. I dont believe it but his chickens did seem to be a little bigger for their age, and these meat birds were not drugged and bred to be as fat as hell like they do in slaughter houses. His birds were actually a little bigger for their age, they were not laying eggs yet but they seemed a little bigger. Is it true that using a green light in the coop can actually make your birds grow faster?

Only thing I can think of,,,,,,,,, if they were meat birds, the green light gave them more eating time each day. If they were egg laying birds, it would have same effect, but to a smaller degree than broilers.
If you want to experiment, and have chickens, try this yourself. You would need to do the Scientific Method that requires a control group, and the experimental group. You would have to also measure feed consumption, of each group. Keep detailed records. After all is completed, state your results.
I did serve as a Judge on Youth Science projects when my children were in Middle School/High School.
Contact your science teacher if that is available in your school. You do the project in your own home BTW.

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and :welcome
