Can I feed green onions to my chickens?

Mine love them, although I only give them the cut offs I don't want to eat.

I do feed mine what ever is left we don't eat, as well as what they peck out of the garden. But I know I can tell a difference when they start eating too many in the way the eggs taste.

Yeah. They get my meal preparation scraps as well as post meal. They like them.

Can I feed green onions to my chickens?

Chickens can eat onions, chives and garlic in small quantities, occasionally. Sufficient quantities of onion and garlic can be harmful to chickens, causing hemolytic anemia, aka: Heinz anemia, a blood condition resulting in chickens with weak legs, listlessness and a disheveled appearance.
