    Hi all,

Just had my first egg from one of my chooks and I thought the egg was going to be blue but I think it's more green???

What colour would you say this is??

    Thanks

  2. I assume that your hen is an EE or Americauna? If so a green egg is normal. They can be either green or blue. I have 2 EEs and 1 lays blue the other lays green.

Yeah it's an EE, a local farm has breed these chickens to produce blue eggs, look like they have got americauna in them. I paid a stupid price for them, I was told they are blue egg layers, I was disappointed when it was green. I have got an EE that lays bright blue lovely eggs, they are amazing, and this full green was not so good. But still better than the original brown, the other one is also squatting so hopefully it lays a more blue egg :))
