Green Peacock Displaying

Does anyone know how much less noisy the Java Greens are compared to the IB's. They are after all called Pavo MUTICUS!! Do they call loudly and that like the IBs?

Greens are not more modest, however a lot of greens don't react too well to strangers or visitors- either becoming very wild, pacing along the wire farthest from the strangers or if they have an aggressive personality, they come up to the wire waiting for the visitor to naively come within reach.... Even if they don't react too much towards visitors usually they put their tails down.. so not much opportunity for a visitor to take pictures.

I would take pictures of mine however most of my greens are in a pen that have a solid roof plus shade cloth on the sides due to the extremely hot summers here. Works quite well for them but does not work very well for taking clear or good pictures....

When it is just me, they have their tails up as much/often as any of the Indians.

Their fanning behavior is different from Indian though- they don't flutter the wings nor do much of the scratching or "peekaboo" and yes also much quieter.. don't recall any green male giving out a yell while fanning.. (Indians do this ALL the time)
