I have an Americana rooster with large loose bright green poops, I have noticed it for about four days now, does anyone know what could be causing this and how alarmed I should be? There are about 25 birds in the flock and he is the only one that seems affected. Other than green poop he seems fine as do all the other birds. It has been raining lately, but our feed is dry and like I say, he is the only bird displaying this.
A little help please....

Green poo is usually a sign that he is not eating properly. I would seperate him, and watch for a few days. Make sure he is eating and drinking properly. Could be the first sign he is not feeling well.....or, could be he is just not getting to the feeders due to thers being slightly aggressive. Seperate, feed, water, and watch.

He may either be missing something in his diet, or he may be getting too much, or he may be eating something he should not be eating.

Try doing what justasnack suggested.

Keep us posted.

Thank you for the suggestions, we will separate him and keep an eye out. My husband is afraid he has a disease and he would have to cull him, so this advice really helps. Could this be caused by too much scratch or from eating layer feed?
